John Mowbray
The IGI gives his birth as 12 September 1415 at Epworth, Lincolnshire. John was 17 when his father died, and attained his majority in 14 Henry VI (1436). Three years later he was sent as ambassador into Picardy to make a peace treaty with the King of France.
In 1445, upon obtaining a confirmation of the Dukedom of Norfolk, he had a place assigned to him in Parliament and elsewhere next to the Duke of Exeter.
He married Eleanor Bourchier, daughter of William, Lord Bourchier. On his death in 1461 his son succeeded him.
